Introducing Vernon's newest Hostel! My name is Laurie, I'm the owner, and I'm finally realizing my dream of running a travelers hostel in my adopted home of Vernon, BC, Canada.
We’re a small facility with just 14 beds. You can expect a homey atmosphere with friendly
helpful staff. We’re not a party house but feel free to throw on a pair of complimentary slippers,
kick back and have fun or relax after a day on the hill or at the beach.
Policies
1. Check in after 1PM. If you arrive before this time and your bed is not ready you may leave your personal belongings in the baggage storage area and make use of the common areas of the Hostel.
2. Check-out 10AM. If you are staying, you must pay for additional nights before this time. Late payments will incur a $2.00 late fee. You may leave your personal belongings in the baggage storage the day of your checkout.
3. Late check-out may be available, please check with staff to arrange

4. All guests arriving at the Hostel will be required to present a valid Credit Card and Government Issued Photo ID at check-in.
5. We only serve bona-fide travelers. For this reason, guests should live outside the Thompson Okanagan area and be visiting the Hostel on a temporary basis. ID will be required to verify traveler status.
6. Minimum age is 19. See group booking for exceptions.
7. Reservations can be canceled without penalty, provided we receive your cancellation request at leas 48 hours before 1PM on your arrival date. If your reservation is not canceled by this time, we will charge an amount equal to the first night for each person in your party.
8. We do not accept pets, with the exception of certified service animals. We require proof of a valid Guide Dog & Service Dog Cerfication.
9. Our Hostel is dedicated to social inclusivity and anti-social behavior will not be tolerated. Anti-social behavior includes, but is not limited to, the following traits or behaviors: aggressiveness, rudeness, evasiveness, hostility, poor hygiene, behavior that is inappropriately suggestive/sexual, or excessive impairment related to drugs or alcohol
10. The Laughing Llama is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is prohibited anywhere on the property. If you are a smoker, you will be required to leave the property, please do not dispose of cigarete-buts on the ground in our neighbourhood.
